Before You Buy an E-Bike
Choosing an e-bike involves more than picking a brand. We put together a short guide on eBike Safety, What You Need to Know to help riders understand real-world safety, reliability, and long-term support before buying.
E-bikes sold online arrive in boxes partially assembled and often with no local support. Below are a few practical things to know before deciding what works best for you.
Why are e-bikes cheaper online?
Online prices are typically for boxed bikes. They do not include professional assembly, safety checks, road testing, or local support after the sale.
What’s included when I buy from the bike shop?
Bikes we sell and build include professional assembly, a safety inspection, a road test, and local support. We also include a free service check within the first 90 days.
Why does the shop price cost more than the manufacturer’s website?
Manufacturers sell boxes. We sell working transportation with local support. The difference is what happens after the sale.
Can I buy the bike in the box instead?
Yes. If you prefer a boxed bike, we can sell it that way. Just understand that service and troubleshooting later may be limited if issues arise.
What happens if I buy online and something breaks?
We service bikes we sell and build. We do not adopt orphan e-bikes with unknown electronics, batteries, or setup history.
I just need transportation now. Why does this matter?
The lowest upfront price can become the most expensive option later if no one can fix the bike. We explain this upfront so you can decide.
Simple way to think about it:
Bike makers sell boxed bikes; we offer transportation that works and local support when you need it.
